You Have to Start Somewhere
As my last year of college quickly approaches it is only right to panic about my future, just as well as all of the thousands of other soon-to-be college graduates. Creating a blog was recommended to me by multiple professors and professionals to help get my ideas out to the ever growing and competitive working field, but as I thought of the idea of pouring my feelings out to the world via internet I was skeptical. The one thing I realized I wasn't skeptical about was the passion and desire I have to be an event planner. Event planning involves the combination of detail, hard-work, persistency, determination, design, communication and business and is exactly everything I enjoy. Most importantly being an event planner isn't just about what I love to do, but what I can do for others who want to create a perfect event for themselves. Creating an event isn't just about the basics of a who, what, when, and where; it is about the tiniest detail that make the event memorable and perfect for you, an event that helps to capture your personality and share your vision (that we all know you thought about for years) with others. As corny as it all sounds, event planning to me is about getting those little details right; from color, scent, decor, lighting, wording of invitations and the little details of typography. All these little things make the event "yours," the clients. These details create the whole feel, the perfect environment and allow it to never be duplicated because those little details create the beauty of each individual event.
I hope to share my enthusiasm about event planning through this blog; from showing my own ideas of little details that can go a long way, as well as facts and information to create the perfect event.
